Stats
Bio
Born in New South Wales, Roy Park became a standout full-forward for University while studying medicine, renowned for his accuracy and ability to score heavily in a losing side. He topped the VFL goalkicking table in 1913, a significant achievement given the Students' generally poor on-field results. When University withdrew from the league prior to the 1915 season, Park moved to Melbourne and maintained his high scoring rate, finishing his brief VFL tenure with an exceptional average of over 2.5 goals per game. A rare dual international who also played Test cricket for Australia, his football career was ultimately curtailed by his service in World War I and his subsequent dedication to his medical profession.
