Fantasy

Selected by Greater Western Sydney with pick 11 in the 2011 National Draft, Toby Greene established himself as a foundation pillar of the Giants. While he began his career as a prolific ball-winning midfielder capable of racking up possessions at will during the club's difficult induction years, he eventually transitioned into the most dynamic medium forward of his generation. Possessing exceptional football IQ, deceptive aerial strength, and an innate goal sense, Greene became the Giants' designated match-winner, frequently turning the tide of contests through his opportunistic play and clutch finishing.

Greene's journey has been defined by the tension between his sublime talent and his combative, often controversial, on-field persona. His aggressive style frequently drew the ire of the tribunal, yet he successfully channeled that competitive edge to become the club's spiritual leader. Ascending to the captaincy, he matured into a genuinely inspirational figure who led by example in big finals. A multiple All-Australian and Kevin Sheedy Medallist, Greene remains the heartbeat of the Giants and arguably the greatest player in the club's history.
