Fantasy

Recruited from East Fremantle with pick 30 in the 2011 National Draft, Elliot Yeo began his career at the Brisbane Lions during a difficult transition period for the club. After showing promise as a running defender across 27 games in Queensland, he requested a trade back to his home state of Western Australia following the 2013 season, becoming a key acquisition for West Coast as part of the "Go Home 5" exodus from the Lions.

At the Eagles, Yeo developed into one of the league's most versatile and explosive players, shifting from half-back to become a dominant inside midfielder who could also play key defensive roles when required. His combination of contested ball-winning ability, overhead marking, and heavy tackling pressure was pivotal to West Coast's 2018 premiership success, coinciding with a peak period where he earned two John Worsfold Medals and dual All-Australian blazers. Although his momentum was later stalled by a debilitating run of osteitis pubis and soft tissue injuries, Yeo remains a combative force in the middle and a crucial senior figure helping guide the club through its rebuild.
