Bio
Selected by Collingwood with pick 77 in the 2013 National Draft, Jonathon Marsh arrived with notable pedigree as the grandson of Magpies legend Ray Gabelich. Possessing elite speed and a powerful frame, he initially developed as a key defender at the Pies before requesting a release from his contract at the end of 2016 to return to Western Australia for personal reasons. After a hiatus where he recaptured his form in the WAFL, Marsh was thrown an AFL lifeline by St Kilda during the 2019 pre-season supplemental selection period. At the Saints, he was deployed as an aggressive swingman capable of crashing packs in the forward line or spoiling in defence, yet he struggled to find consistency at the top level and was ultimately delisted at the conclusion of the 2020 season.
