Bio
Hailing from the Riverland and drafted as a mature-age rookie after a premiership-winning stint with West Adelaide, Jonathon Beech was a testament to perseverance and state-league dominance. He arrived at the Crows with a reputation as a contested marking beast, utilizing his strong hands and aerobic capacity to function as a dangerous lead-up forward who could also rotate through the midfield. Throughout his two seasons at West Lakes, he was a prolific scorer for the club's SANFL side, consistently piling on goals and demanding selection through sheer weight of performance. Although his opportunities at the senior level were limited by Adelaide's star-studded forward line, Beech is remembered as a high-quality footballer who finally forced his way onto an AFL list and proved he could match it with the best when given the chance.
