Stats
Bio
Recruited from Norwood with pick 21 in the 2017 Rookie Draft, Stefan Giro arrived at Fremantle with a reputation as an elite endurance runner capable of covering vast amounts of ground. He quickly demonstrated this aerobic capacity as a high-pressure small forward and wingman, earning a debut in 2018 and playing 10 games in his first season. However, his progress was severely hampered by a ruptured ACL in 2019 and a syndesmosis injury upon his return, limiting him to just four more appearances for the Dockers before being delisted at the end of 2021. Handed a lifeline by cross-town rivals West Coast via the Pre-Season Supplemental Selection period ahead of the 2022 season, Giro added four games to his career tally as the Eagles managed an injury and COVID-19 list crisis. Despite his exceptional work rate, he was unable to cement a permanent spot and was delisted following the 2022 season, returning to the WAFL to continue his football with Subiaco.
