Stats
Bio
A graduate of the Brisbane Lions Academy, Connor Ballenden joined the senior list via pick 43 in the 2017 National Draft after the club matched a bid from Fremantle. Developed as a 200cm key forward capable of pinch-hitting in the ruck, he displayed strong contested marking and a booming kick at state league level. While he became a standout in the reserves—winning the 2018 NEAFL Rising Star award and playing in the 2019 premiership side—he found his path to senior selection blocked by a stacked tall forward line featuring Eric Hipwood, Daniel McStay and Joe Daniher. Ballenden managed just three AFL games over four seasons and was delisted at the conclusion of the 2021 season.
