Bio
Selected by Fremantle with pick 33 in the 2022 National Draft, Hugh Davies arrived from Claremont as a promising key defensive prospect. An athletic tall capable of shutting down opponents or peeling off to intercept, he spent his first season developing his craft with Peel Thunder in the WAFL, where he played a pivotal role in their finals campaign. Davies broke through for his AFL debut in Round 15, 2024, against Gold Coast, though senior opportunities remained scarce behind established backmen such as Alex Pearce and Brennan Cox. Viewed as a long-term structural asset for the Dockers rather than an immediate fix, he remains a developing tall defender looking to force his way into the club's best 22.
