Bio
Cody Templeton is a versatile general forward and midfielder who progressed from the Warragul Industrials to co-captain the Gippsland Power. He represented Vic Country at the National Championships and established himself as a reliable match-winner in the Talent League. Templeton produced his standout performance in the 2026 Grand Final, claiming best on ground honours to lead the Power to their first premiership since 2005.
Blessed with forward smarts and high football IQ, Templeton thrives in one-on-one contests and stoppage situations. His coach has likened his forward-half role to Toby Greene, noting his inside toughness and ability to hit the scoreboard. While scouts previously raised questions over his endurance and athleticism, Templeton engaged a running coach to address these areas during his top-age season. He recently tested at the Victorian state draft combine, placing well in the running vertical jump, and shapes as a potential late or rookie draft selection.
