Bio
Benjamin Pignatelli has emerged as a dangerous forward through the Sydney Swans Academy and his local club, the UNSW-ES Bulldogs. He featured for the Allies during the National Championships, where his performances strengthened his draft credentials. Pignatelli made a strong impression in his opening carnival game against Victoria Country, operating as a key target in attack and taking several strong contested marks. He was rewarded for a consistent draft year with a VFL debut for the Swans in their wildcard final against Frankston, showing he could compete against senior bodies.
At 191cm, Pignatelli is noted for his clean hands and bravery in the air. Scouts have highlighted his willingness to stand under high balls and put himself in the right position to win marking contests. He often creates scoring opportunities from goalmouth scrambles and possesses a classy snap when shooting for goal. Tied to the Swans through their academy zone, Sydney is expected to match any rival bid for him on draft night.
