Bio
Kodah Edwards is an explosive and fearless midfielder-forward who has cemented his standing as a top-tier prospect in 2026. Hailing from Willunga, he progressed through South Adelaide's pathway to become a standout at state level. A natural leader, Edwards captained South Australia at the National Championships, earning All-Australian honours for his dynamic midfield work, and was part of the AFL Academy. His form early in the season was blistering at SANFL Under 18s level, and he successfully achieved his goal of breaking into South Adelaide's senior team, where he gained valuable experience playing as a high half-forward.
Known as a high-impact ball magnet, Edwards thrives on winning contested possessions and hitting the scoreboard. As part of his AFL Academy program, he trained with Port Adelaide and closely observed Zak Butters, looking to add a similar ruthless intensity and speed to his own game. While he admitted to needing greater consistency, his ability to impact heavily in the forward half makes him a highly sought-after talent. Having entered his draft year as a top-10 fancy, Edwards remains in first-round contention and was invited to the national draft combine.
