Bio
Hailing from Mount Beauty, Carmela Perri began her football journey playing in boys teams before joining the Thurgoona Bulldogs. Breaking into the Murray Bushrangers squad in the Talent League, she emerged as a potential draft surprise packet in 2026. Representing Vic Country at the National Championships, the hard-running midfielder caught the eye, particularly in a standout performance against the Allies where she was named among her team's best. Perri also delivered massive performances for the Bushrangers during their finals run, earning an invitation to the 2026 Draft Combine.
Perri is an explosive midfielder whose game is built on fierce tackling pressure and impressive running capacity. She excels at winning the contested ball and is exceptionally clean below the knees at ground level, often using her endurance to spread to the outside and keep the ball moving in transition. While she has developed rapidly, scouts note she needs to work on her contested marking to add another dimension to her game. She heads into the draft as an intriguing prospect who never shies away from a challenge.
