Stats
Bio
Recruited from Trinity Grammar, Des Kennedy was a versatile utility who earned a brief opportunity at the top level with Hawthorn during the 1970 season. Standing 185cm, he possessed the size to compete in key contests and managed to hit the scoreboard with two goals across his four senior appearances after debuting as a 19-year-old. Despite showing promise in his limited exposure to VFL football, he could not secure a permanent spot in a developing Hawks lineup and ultimately returned to the amateur ranks to play for Old Trinity. His career at Glenferrie Oval stands as a short but notable cameo, representing one of the many school footballers who stepped up to test themselves in the elite competition before returning to their grassroots origins.
