Bio
Hailing from the remote South Australian outpost of Oodnadatta, Alexander "Jack" Robertson stands as one of the most geographically unique recruits in VFL history. He arrived at the Western Oval for the 1929 season and immediately found a place in the side, serving as a useful forward option who booted six goals across 12 senior appearances. Despite showing promise during his solitary year at the top level, Robertson did not feature for the Bulldogs beyond that season. His post-football life was tragically brief, as he passed away in Melbourne a decade later at the age of just 29.
