Bio
Recruited from the Murray Bushrangers with pick 28 in the 1998 National Draft, Aaron Henneman was a key position utility who spent his career battling for a permanent spot in a formidable Essendon line-up. Capable of playing as a key defender or providing relief in the ruck, Henneman broke into the senior side during the Bombers' dominant early 2000s era, notably playing in the 2001 Grand Final loss to the Brisbane Lions. Despite his size and versatility, his career was frequently interrupted by soft-tissue injuries and lapses in form which prevented him from fulfilling his potential as a long-term key post. He remained a depth player for much of his tenure at Windy Hill before being delisted at the conclusion of the 2006 season.
