Bio
Recruited from the Tassie Mariners with pick 2 in the 2008 Rookie Draft, Aaron Joseph quickly established himself as a tenacious small defender and tagger for Carlton. After being elevated to the senior list, he enjoyed a breakout debut season in 2009 where he played every game, earned a Rising Star nomination, and finished in the top ten of the John Nicholls Medal. Joseph was best known for his close-checking run-with roles, utilizing his elite endurance to shut down dangerous opposition playmakers. While he was a staple of the Blues' backline during the Brett Ratten era, his opportunities diminished significantly following coaching changes, and he was ultimately delisted at the conclusion of the 2013 season.
