Bio
Recruited from the Calder Cannons with pick 51 in the 2003 National Draft, Adam Bentick established himself as a industrious inside midfielder during a difficult era for the Carlton Football Club. While he lacked the pace and polish of elite on-ballers, Bentick compensated with a fierce appetite for the contest, becoming a key tackling pressure player and clearance winner who often performed disciplined tagging roles. His career trajectory peaked in 2007 when he led the club in tackles, but a knee reconstruction the following season severely halted his momentum. By the time he recovered, the Blues had injected significant class into their engine room through the arrival of Chris Judd and the development of high draft picks, effectively squeezing Bentick out of the rotation. He was delisted at the conclusion of the 2009 season, remembered as a blue-collar contributor who extracted the maximum from his ability.
