Bio
Hailing from the Tiwi Islands, Adam Kerinaiua holds a significant place in football history as the first Tiwi Islander to play in the AFL. Recruited to the Brisbane Bears during an era when the club invested heavily in Northern Territory talent, he broke into the senior side as an 18-year-old in the 1992 season. A pacy and skilled utility capable of finding the goals, Kerinaiua's time at the elite level was ultimately brief, restricted to just three games and a solitary major before he was delisted. Following his stint with the Bears, he returned to the Top End where he forged a successful long-term career in the NTFL, primarily with St Mary's, helping to pave the way for future generations of Tiwi talent to enter the national competition.
