Bio
Recruited from the Eastern Ranges with pick 41 in the 1994 National Draft, Adam White served a long apprenticeship in the reserves before breaking into Carlton's senior side in 1997. Standing 188cm, he operated as a versatile midfielder and utility who could drift forward and impact the contest with his size. His time at Princes Park is often remembered for two distinct moments: a bizarre incident in his debut season where he was knocked unconscious after colliding with a field umpire, and the bittersweet 1999 finals campaign. White played a role in the Blues' famous Preliminary Final upset over Essendon that year but suffered the heartbreak of being omitted for the Grand Final the following week. Persistent injuries restricted him to just a single appearance after that season, leading to his retirement at the end of 2001 to pursue a successful career as a filmmaker.
