Bio
Born in County Tyrone before emigrating to Australia, Aidan Corr was drafted by Greater Western Sydney with pick 14 in the 2012 National Draft after impressing with the Northern Knights. He spent his formative years as a foundational player for the Giants, developing into a disciplined key defender known for his closing speed and ability to play on both tall and small forwards. Corr was a mainstay in the GWS backline during their competitive peak, including the 2019 Grand Final, valuing spoil and lockdown accountability over high-possession intercepting.
Seeking a fresh start and a return to Victoria, Corr moved to North Melbourne as a restricted free agent at the end of 2020 on a significant long-term deal. While his initial impact at Arden Street was hampered by a severe toe infection and other injury setbacks, he eventually established himself as a senior figure in a young Kangaroos side. Elevated to the leadership group, Corr has served as a defensive anchor and mentor through a prolonged rebuild, providing physical aggression and experience to an under-siege backline.
