Bio
Recruited from the Eastern Ranges, Aiden Begg joined Collingwood via the 2021 Mid-Season Rookie Draft as a long-term prospect, notably selected while still recovering from shoulder surgery. An athletic ruck-forward with a strong vertical leap and good mobility for his size, he broke into the senior side in Round 7, 2022, playing three games to cover a shortage in the Magpies' tall stocks. However, his development was severely hampered by persistent injury setbacks, particularly ongoing back issues, which prevented him from adding to his game tally in 2023 and 2024. Unable to displace established ruckmen Darcy Cameron and Mason Cox, Begg was delisted at the conclusion of the 2024 season without returning to the senior lineup.
