Bio
Recruited from VFA club Coburg, Alan Elliott arrived at Kardinia Park in 1945 as Geelong sought to replenish its list during the final stages of the Second World War. A sturdy mid-sized utility standing 178cm, he was primarily deployed across the half-forward line where he proved a capable competitor and occasional goal-kicker. He made his debut just days after his 20th birthday but struggled to cement a permanent spot in the senior lineup, managing only 20 games over three seasons as the club navigated a difficult rebuilding phase. Elliott departed the VFL scene at the end of 1947, serving as a role player during the transitional years before the Cats assembled their powerhouse squad of the early 1950s.
