Stats
Bio
Recruited from North Ballarat in the Ballarat Football League, Alan Jenkin was a diminutive rover who earned a brief opportunity with St Kilda during the 1984 season. Standing just 173cm, Jenkin relied on his natural pace and goal sense to compete at the VFL level, often operating as a crumbing option at the feet of the talls. He made a memorable impact in Round 8 against Footscray when, after being injected into the game early to replace an injured Silvio Foschini, he booted two goals in a lively display. Jenkin showed he could find the football, gathering a career-high 20 disposals against Richmond a few weeks later, but he struggled to maintain a permanent spot in the senior side and finished his VFL career with six games before returning to lower-level football.
