Bio
Born in Brunswick, Alan Sinclair broke into the St Kilda lineup as a teenager just as the league was beginning to normalise following the disruptions of the Great War. He debuted late in the 1918 season before establishing himself as a defensive regular in 1919, where he played the bulk of his career matches. Standing 177cm, Sinclair was a small defender who offered support in the back pocket or on a flank, a role reflected in a career tally of just one major. His time at the Junction Oval was ultimately brief; after featuring prominently for a single season, he played just once in 1920 before departing the VFL scene at the age of 20.
