Bio
Recruited from South Mildura in the Sunraysia district, Alan "Winkie" Teasdale was a capable forward who broke into the Geelong senior side during the mid-1960s. After spending his first season developing in the reserves, he made his VFL debut in Round 1, 1965, proving himself a reliable avenue to goal with 13 majors across his 17 games. Standing 180cm, he played as a medium-sized attacker but faced difficulty holding a permanent spot in a lineup featuring club icons like Polly Farmer and Billy Goggin. His senior career ended on a massive stage, with his final appearance coming in the 1966 Semi Final against Essendon in front of over 93,000 spectators at the MCG.
