Stats
Bio
Recruited from local club Bannockburn, Woodman was a rugged defender who added steel to the Geelong backline during the mid-to-late 1970s. Capable of manning centre half-back or locking down in a back pocket, he was known for his uncompromising physical approach and ability to compete in the air. His most productive season came in 1978 where he featured 21 times, though perhaps his finest individual performance was a substantial effort in the 1976 Semi Final against North Melbourne. Following his VFL career, he became a country football legend, winning back-to-back Maskell Medals with Camperdown in the Hampden League and later captaining his original club Bannockburn to a drought-breaking premiership.
