Stats
Bio
A local product recruited from the Collingwood Juniors, Alby Tame was a foundation member of the Magpies' inaugural VFL squad in 1897. He had previously broken into the senior side during the club's final VFA campaign in 1896, establishing himself as a versatile option capable of playing on the wing or drifting forward. Despite this promising start, Tame struggled to lock down a regular spot in a powerful Collingwood lineup, often finding himself on the fringe of selection during the league's formative years. He notably spent the entire 1901 season back in the juniors to recapture his form before fighting his way back for a final handful of senior appearances in 1902.
