Bio
Recruited from West Adelaide in the SANFL, Alby Yeo was a back pocket defender who originally honed his craft in the South Australian Riverland town of Barmera. He crossed into Victoria to join Essendon for the 1958 season, managing five senior games in the opening half of the year as a defensive option. His stint at Windy Hill was short-lived, however, as he was cleared to St Kilda mid-season in search of greater opportunity, though he ultimately did not register a senior game for the Saints. While his VFL career was brief, his standing in South Australian country football remained high, later earning selection in the Riverland Football League's Team of the Century.
