Bio
Hailing from Beaufort in rural Victoria, Alex Sinclair was handed a brief opportunity at the top level during one of St Kilda's bleakest eras. He was brought into a struggling lineup that would ultimately go through the entire 1902 season without registering a win, managing just three senior appearances in the middle of the year as the club scrambled to find competitive talent. Sinclair failed to trouble the scorers during his short stint in the VFL, departing the scene as quickly as he arrived after helping fill the numbers for a side that finished comfortably with the wooden spoon. His post-football life proved arguably more adventurous than his playing days, as he later emigrated to Rhodesia where he lived until his death.
