Bio
Hailing from Maryborough in central Victoria, Alf Catlin was a handy recruit who briefly graced Victoria Park at the turn of the century. Standing 173cm, he was built for a role closer to the ground, managing to hit the scoreboard four times across his nine appearances during the 1899 season. While his stint in the VFL was limited to a single winter campaign before he faded from the league scene, Catlin remains on the record as a contributor during Collingwood’s formative years as the club sought to establish its identity in the newly formed competition.
