Bio
Born in Geelong on New Year's Day 1876, Alf Dupe was a mature-age recruit who finally broke into the VFL ranks at the age of 30. A product of the local football scene, he was brought into the Pivotonians' side midway through the 1906 season to add depth and experience to the forward line. He made an immediate impact by kicking a goal on debut against St Kilda and managed to snag a multiple-goal haul against Essendon later that year. Although his top-level career was short-lived, spanning just eight games over two seasons, Dupe served as a reliable local fill-in who capitalized on his opportunities in front of the big sticks before concluding his VFL stint in 1907.
