Bio
Recruited from Leopold, Alfred Richardson arrived at St Kilda at the turn of the century and was immediately thrust into the senior lineup for the 1901 season. He became a fixture in the side during the first half of the year, playing 11 consecutive matches and booting two goals for a team that was enduring a wretched winless campaign. While his time at the Junction Oval was brief and confined to a single season, Richardson did not hang up his boots immediately, later moving west to continue his career with Perth in the WAFL. He eventually settled in Tasmania, leaving behind a short but distinct legacy as a regular contributor during one of the Saints' most testing early periods.
