Bio
Hailing from the Sunshine Coast, Alik Magin was a local Queensland talent who progressed through the Gold Coast's developmental squads to secure a place on the club's inaugural playing list. The son of Pomona football legend Bill Magin and brother of former Bomber Rhys, Alik was a light-framed midfielder and small forward valued for his defensive pressure and goal sense. After starting on the rookie list, he was elevated to make his debut in the Suns' historic first AFL match against Carlton in 2011, etching his name into the club's record books. While he showed glimpses of his potential across eight senior games, he struggled to cement a regular spot in the developing side and was delisted following the 2012 season. Magin subsequently continued his football journey in the VFL with Bendigo and later returned to grassroots football in Queensland and Victoria.
