Stats
Bio
Hailing from Morwell in the Gippsland region, Allan Hutton was a tall prospect who briefly reinforced St Kilda’s lineup late in the 1927 season. Standing 187cm, a considerable height for the era that suited a key position or following role, he was brought into the senior side for the penultimate round against Geelong. Hutton held his place for the season finale against North Melbourne, where he registered his solitary VFL goal in a comfortable victory at the Junction Oval. His league career remained a brief two-game cameo, and he eventually returned to country football in the Latrobe Valley. Hutton's life was tragically cut short in 1939 at just 31 years of age when he was fatally struck by a motor bus while cycling in Yallourn.
