Stats
Bio
Recruited from the club's fruitful country zone of Traralgon, Allan Jennings burst onto the VFL scene in 1982 with one of the most prolific starts in league history. The mature-age recruit made an immediate impact as a dangerous half-forward, booting five goals on debut against Essendon and backing it up with another five-goal bag against Collingwood the very next week. Despite his electrifying introduction and a natural knack for finding the big sticks, Jennings' career at the Western Oval was remarkably brief; he played just nine senior games in his solitary season before turning his back on the city lifestyle to return to the Latrobe Valley, leaving Footscray fans to wonder what might have been for the sharp-shooting country recruit.
