Bio
Recruited from the Murray Bushrangers with pick 35 in the 1999 National Draft, Allan Murray began his AFL career at Port Adelaide alongside his brother Derek. An elusive small forward with genuine pace and goal sense, Murray faced a difficult task breaking into a dominant Power side, managing just one senior appearance in three seasons at Alberton. He was traded to St Kilda prior to the 2003 season in search of greater opportunity, where he added 14 games over four years. While he demonstrated his finishing ability in flashes, notably kicking three goals against the Western Bulldogs in 2005, injuries and inconsistent form prevented him from securing a permanent place in the Saints' best 22, leading to his delisting at the end of 2006.
