Stats
Bio
Recruited from Yea in the Waranga North East Football Association, where he had previously claimed a league Best and Fairest, Allen "Bill" Rogers was a lightly built rover who joined Footscray for the 1952 season. Standing just 173cm, the diminutive playmaker enjoyed a promising debut year at the Western Oval, featuring in 16 matches and drifting forward to snag 10 goals. However, he struggled to maintain that consistency in his second season, managing only six senior appearances in 1953 before his brief stint in the VFL concluded. While his career at the top level was short-lived, Rogers is remembered as a handy country recruit who made a solid initial impact in the Bulldogs' midfield rotation.
