Bio
Arriving at Arden Street as a 24-year-old recruit, Allen Turner carved out a brief niche in North Melbourne’s forward line during the late 1930s. He made his debut in Round 9 of the 1938 season against Fitzroy and quickly became a fixture during a rare successful run for the Shinboners, featuring in three consecutive victories over Hawthorn, Richmond, and South Melbourne. A capable option near the sticks who booted four goals during his short tenure, Turner provided depth in attack before making his final VFL appearance early in the 1939 season. Although his career at the top level was fleeting, comprising just six senior games, his time in the side coincided with one of the club's few bright spots of the era.
