Bio
Recruited from Claremont with pick 52 in the 2001 National Draft, Andrew Browne was a tenacious midfielder whose AFL career was severely curtailed by persistent soft-tissue injuries. Primarily utilised as a run-with player or defensive midfielder, Browne possessed a strong work ethic and tackling pressure that endeared him to the coaching staff, prompting the Dockers to retain him on the list for eight seasons despite his inability to stay on the park. His time at Fremantle ultimately became a test of patience, with recurring hamstring issues restricting him to just 29 senior appearances before he was finally delisted at the conclusion of the 2009 season.
