Bio
Selected by West Coast with pick 4 in the 2010 National Draft, Andrew Gaff arrived from the Oakleigh Chargers as a ready-made midfielder with elite endurance. He quickly established himself as the Eagles' primary running link-man, using his relentless work rate and reliable left boot to accumulate possessions on the outside. This consistency saw him earn dual All-Australian selection and the 2015 John Worsfold Medal, cementing his status as one of the competition's premier wingmen during the club's strong era under Adam Simpson.
Gaff's career narrative is inextricably linked to the 2018 season, where he famously turned down a massive free agency offer from North Melbourne to remain a one-club player. However, that same year ended in heartbreak when a late-season striking suspension saw him miss the club's premiership victory. He continued to serve as a senior leader and prolific ball-winner for several years post-2018, though his influence eventually waned as the team entered a deep rebuild. Gaff retired in 2024 as a Life Member and one of West Coast's most capped players, remembered for his durability and loyalty despite the elusive premiership medallion.
