Bio
Recruited from the Dandenong Stingrays with pick 67 in the 2010 National Draft, Andrew McInnes was a disciplined defender capable of manning opponents of varying sizes. After a year of development in the VFL, he broke into the Carlton senior side in 2012, showing promise as a reliable backman before a ruptured ACL in Round 21 halted his momentum. The long rehabilitation process made it difficult for him to regain his footing in the team, and he struggled to cement a place in the best 22 under Mick Malthouse upon his return. McInnes was delisted at the conclusion of the 2014 season, eventually continuing his football journey in the SANFL where he became a premiership player with Norwood.
