Andrio Sousa

Andrio Sousa is a lightly built wingman and midfielder who graduated from Edithvale Aspendale to become a key playmaker for the Dandenong Stingrays. His draft year was highlighted by a consistent run of form that helped propel the Stingrays to the Talent League Grand Final. He stepped up during the postseason, delivering a lively performance in the preliminary final win over the Eastern Ranges and hitting the scoreboard in the premiership decider against Gippsland Power. Sousa also represented Vic Country in all four matches at the National Championships, earning an invitation to the national draft combine where he placed fourth overall in the 20-metre sprint.

Known for his electric pace and explosive first step, Sousa thrives when driving his legs to escape traffic and step into space. Scouts praise his clean hands at ground level and his neat ball use when transitioning forward. While he operates heavily on the outside as a speedy wingman, he has proven to be a willing tackler who can pressure opponents defensively. Sousa sits on the fringes of top-50 draft boards and appeals to clubs looking for a late-round selection to add run and outside class.
