Andy Carroll

Born in Geelong as Andrew Collins, this local product adopted his stepfather's surname before fighting his way onto the senior list at Corio Oval. A fringe player during a competitive era for the Cats, Carroll struggled to cement a permanent spot in a lineup still brimming with talent from the club's 1925 premiership success. He managed ten appearances across two seasons, chipping in with three goals and serving largely as a depth utility player, before his brief VFL career concluded at the end of the 1929 season. He remained a lifelong resident of the area, passing away in the Geelong suburb of Newtown in 1970.
