Stats
Bio
Recruited from St Albans in the local Footscray District League, Angelo Tantsis was a sturdy utility player who earned a brief opportunity at the top level with the Bulldogs in the late 1970s. Standing 183cm, he offered a competitive physical presence and broke into the senior side for two games in 1978, followed by another pair of appearances in 1979. Despite his local pedigree and solid frame, Tantsis struggled to command a regular position in a Footscray lineup that was fighting for consistency under coaches Bill Goggin and Don McKenzie. He departed the VFL scene after four goalless matches, serving as a representative of the many district footballers who made the difficult transition to league football for a short stint before returning to the suburban ranks.
