Bio
Recruited from Glenelg in the SANFL, Angus Clarke joined Essendon via the 2024 National Draft as a highly rated defensive prospect known for his intercept marking and rebound. The South Australian product made an immediate impact in his debut season in 2025, breaking into the senior side to showcase his natural ability to read the play and generate drive from the back half. Operating primarily as a third tall defender, Clarke impressed with his composure and distribution, though he remains in the phase of building the physical resilience required for the weekly rigours of league football. Now entering his second year at The Hangar, he is viewed as a promising component of the Bombers' long-term defensive structure.
