Anthony Caminiti emerged from relative obscurity to secure a spot on St Kilda's list during the 2023 Pre-Season Supplemental Selection period. Overlooked in the national draft after playing for the Northern Knights, the key position prospect impressed during a summer trial to earn a contract following significant injuries to the Saints' forward stocks. Initially deployed as a raw key forward, Caminiti quickly proved to be a competitive aerial target with strong hands and a physical approach to the contest, surprisingly holding his spot in the senior side throughout his debut year. While not a prolific goal-kicker, his utility value became evident as his career progressed, with his athleticism allowing him to pinch-hit in the ruck or push further up the ground to support the team's structure.
