Bio
Recruited from Albury via the NSW/ACT zone concessions, Anthony Miles carved out a career as a blue-collar inside midfielder known for his unrelenting attack on the contest. After struggling to establish himself during Greater Western Sydney's formative years, he was delisted and subsequently drafted by Richmond as a rookie, where he immediately endeared himself to the Tiger Army with his elite clearance work and fearless "in-and-under" playstyle. Miles finished fourth in the 2015 Jack Dyer Medal, but as Richmond evolved into a premiership powerhouse, he was gradually squeezed out of the senior side by a star-studded engine room. He spent much of his later tenure at Punt Road dominating the reserves, culminating in a joint J.J. Liston Trophy win in 2018, before moving to Gold Coast in search of greater opportunity. Miles retired after two seasons with the Suns, remembered widely as a consummate professional who maximised every ounce of his ability.
