Bio
A testament to the value of state-league pathways, Anthony Scott joined the Western Bulldogs as a mature-age recruit during the 2021 Pre-Season Supplemental Selection period after impressing with the club's VFL affiliate and Old Trinity in the VAFA. Originally overlooked in multiple drafts, he seized his opportunity by debuting in the opening round of his first season and quickly established himself as a versatile utility capable of playing as a high-pressure forward, a wingman, or a defensive midfielder. Scott became a trusted option for the coaching staff when specific tactical roles were required, particularly for his tackling intent and running power, though he frequently found himself oscillating between the starting lineup and the tactical sub vest. Defined by his work ethic and selflessness rather than high-possession numbers, he served the Bulldogs as a committed role player who maximised his persistence to notch 59 games at the highest level.
