Antoni Grover stands as one of Fremantle's greatest rookie list success stories, forging a reputation as an uncompromising defender over a career that spanned 14 seasons. Elevated from the rookie list in 1999, he eventually became a fixture in the Dockers' backline, renowned for his versatility and ability to play tall or small depending on the matchup. Grover was the definition of a shutdown specialist, often tasked with nullifying the opposition's most dangerous forwards, using his discipline and competitive instinct to quell their influence rather than hunt for personal accolades.

His standing at Fremantle is significant, most notably as the first Indigenous player to reach the 200-game milestone for the club. A quiet achiever who let his football do the talking, Grover was a central figure in the Dockers' celebrated Indigenous history, including playing in the 2003 match that set a then-record for Indigenous representation in a single AFL team. He retired as a Life Member and a highly respected veteran who helped set the professional standards for the club's next generation of defenders.
