Bio
After initially being overlooked in the national draft out of the Sandringham Dragons, Archer May took the long road to the AFL, spending two seasons developing in Richmond's VFL program before a defining move to the WAFL with Subiaco in 2025. His commanding state-league form and aerial presence caught the attention of Essendon recruiters, who used pick 6 in the 2025 Mid-Season Draft to bring him back to Victoria. Standing 198cm, May is an athletic key forward known for his contested marking and booming kick, attributes he displayed immediately upon debuting against Geelong in Round 14 of that year. Having kicked seven goals in his first seven appearances, he has established himself as a raw but high-potential target currently fighting to solidify a permanent spot in the Bombers' forward structure.
